(1 RATING)
This recipe belongs to my cousin, Lorraine. These are very good biscuits and I actually use her recipe sometimes.

Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 stick real butter, softened
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- - dash of salt
How To Make butter biscuits
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 425. Mix buttermilk & soda and set aside. Grease pan or baking stone.
-
Step 2Blend together the flour & salt. Make a hole in center and add butter. Gradually add in buttermilk so you can knead but don't overmix. Pinch off pieces with floured hands. Roll until smooth, place in pan & flatten. Bake at 425 for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
-
Step 3Note: use more buttermilk if dough is too stiff.
