Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons very cold unsalted butter cut into 1/4 inch cubes
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 tablespoon thinly sliced fresh chives
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
How To Make blue cheese biscuits

Step 1Preheat oven to 450.

Step 2Put flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, pepper and baking soda in the bowl of a food processor.

Step 3Pulse several time to combine.

Step 4Remove top of processor, and scatter cubes of butter over flour mixture.

Step 5Toss cubes to coat in flour.

Step 6Replace top and pulse several times, until mixture resembles a coarse meal.

Step 7Add the blue cheese and pulse 1-2 more times.

Step 8Pour into a mixing bowl and add chives, add buttermilk and stir.

Step 9Transfer dough to a lightly floured board.

Step 10Work dough to a 3/4 inch circle.

Step 11Cut dough using a preferred cutter.

Step 12Space biscuits 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet then brush with melted butter.

Step 13Bake until golden brown about 12 minutes.
