Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 - egg
- 2/3 cup milk
How To Make baking powder biscuits

Step 1In a large bowl; combine the four,sugar,baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture is crumbly. Beat egg and milk, stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, ( I use wax paper or parchment paper) roll out to 1/2 inch thickness,cut with a floured biscuit cutter. Place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
