  • 5 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp
    warm water
  • 2 c
  • 1 1/2 tsp

How to Make Angel Biscuits


  1. dissolve yeast in warm water.
    preheat oven to 400*
  2. in a large bowl, combine buttermilk and oil.
  3. add;yeast mixture and mix together with all dry ingredients.
  4. put on a lightly floured board and roll out to 3/4 inch thick.
  5. cut with biscuit cutter.
  6. dip in melted butter and place in baking pan.
  7. bake at 400* for 15 minutes or til brown.
  8. dough will keep in refrigerator for 1 week.
  9. biscuits do not have to rise before baking.
  10. makes 3-4 dozen.
