all purpose flour
1/4 c
sugar
3 tsp
baking powder
1 c
vegetable oil
1 tsp
baking soda
1 pkg
active dry yeast
1 Tbsp
warm water
2 c
buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp
salt

How to Make Angel Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  • 1dissolve yeast in warm water.
    preheat oven to 400*
  • 2in a large bowl, combine buttermilk and oil.
  • 3add;yeast mixture and mix together with all dry ingredients.
  • 4put on a lightly floured board and roll out to 3/4 inch thick.
  • 5cut with biscuit cutter.
  • 6dip in melted butter and place in baking pan.
  • 7bake at 400* for 15 minutes or til brown.
  • 8dough will keep in refrigerator for 1 week.
  • 9biscuits do not have to rise before baking.
  • 10makes 3-4 dozen.
