One of my children's favorites...their friend's also!
This is recipe was passed down from my Mother's side of the family. I come from a long line of great cooks and I love following their lead! I make the Angel Biscuits as a treat for an after school snack.

Ingredients

3 c
self-rising flour
1/4 c
sugar
1/2 c
vegetable oil
3/4 c
milk
1 pkg
active dry yeast
1/2 c
warm water, approx 115 degrees
soft margarine

How to Make Ghee's Angel Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  • 1Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine flour and sugar in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients along with the yeast mixture and mix well.
  • 2Turn out onto well floured surface. Knead lightly and pat out. Cut dough in a circle and add a small amount of soft margarine to the middle of the angel biscuit and fold over. Bke on 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  • 3Bake on 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
