Haven't tried it yet, but as I'm not very good at biscuits, I thought I'd put this in my recipe box for future reference. The recipe calls for Bisquick, but I'm sure other brands will work. I make my own biscuit mix made with mostly whole wheat pastry flour for better nutrition, and it works just as well as any store bought mix.

yield 8 to 12, depending on how big one cuts them out.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups quick buttermilk biscuit mix (bisquick)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup seven up or similar lemon lime soda
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

How To Make 7 - up biscuits

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 425. Mix Bisquick, sour cream and 7 up. Cut into your favorite biscuit shape.
  • Step 2
Melt butter in bottom of cookie sheet pan, and put shaped biscuits in, then bake at 425 until golden.
  • Step 3
I saw this recipe posted on Facebook, and immediately typed it in here so I would not lose it. I wish I could share the picture, they look so fluffy and light. I have not made them myself yet, but hopefully I can add a nice picture when I do. The recipe posted had minimal information, and so I do not know exactly what size pan in inches is recommended, nor do I know how long the biscuits need to bake. I would use the baking mix box as an estimate for cooking time.
