Ingredients
- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup 7 up or sprite
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
How To Make 7 up biscuits
-
Step 1Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in 4 tablespoons melted butter and sour cream. Add 7Up and mix well.
-
Step 2Turn out onto lightly floured surface and lightly knead a couple of times. Pat out into a rectangle at 1- 1 1/2 inches thick. Using a knife or Bench scraper, cut across lengthwise and width wise into biscuits. They'll be square can use round cutter but cutting into squares wastes nothing.
-
Step 3Melt butter in 9x13 inch baking pan. Place biscuits in pan touching each other . Bake at 375 until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes. Brush with melted butter when done.
-
Step 4Note: The secret to great homemade biscuits is how you treat them, treat em rough, they'll be tough, treat them kindly they'll be tender. Don't over handle them. Think lazy man.... do just enough to get the job done.
