Bread Pudding

2 T. brown sugar

3/4 cup, plus 1 T. sugar

1/8 generous tsp. of cinnamon
•
1 loaf challah bread, about 10 cups, cubed
•
9 egg yolks
•
4 tsp. vanilla extract (NOTE: I ran out of vanilla and used 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. almond. Yum!)
•
2/3 cup golden raisins
•
5 tsp. rum
•
3/4 tsp. salt
•
2 1/2 cups heavy cream
•
2 1/2 cups milk
•
2 T. butter
•
Rum-Brown Sugar Sauce
•
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
•
7 T. heavy cream
•
2 1/2 T. butter
•
1 1/2 T. rum (NOTE: rum in pudding and sauce can be substituted with bourbon)
