1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water
