2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ cup whole milk ((see notes for skim))
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 large eggs, at room temperature
1 ½ cups sugar
½ cup heavy cream
6 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, (chopped)
2 tablespoons corn syrup
