•

For the Pastry Cream:
•
2 cups half-and-half 1 pint or 16 fluid ounces
•
6 large egg yolks room temperature
•
1/2 cup granulated sugar
•
1/4 teaspoon salt
•
1/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
•
4 tablespoons unsalted butter cut into 4 pieces
•
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
•
For the Glaze:
•
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
•
2 tablespoons corn syrup
•
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate finely chopped, or semi-sweet
