Bolognese Sauce

"A hearty, robust pasta sauce that comes together in a couple of hours...."

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. ground round
1 lb. ground sweet or mild Italian sausage
2 large white onions, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 28-oz. cans crushed tomatoes
1 28-oz. can whole tomatoes
2 cups dry red wine
1 small can tomato paste
1 small can water (use the tomato paste can)
2 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons dried oregano
3 tablespoons dried basil
2 tablespoons dried parsley
salt and pepper to taste
