Ingredients: 2 cups frozen blueberries (thawed); 2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar ((optional, see notes)); 21 ounce can blueberry pie filling; 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ((optional, see notes below)); 15.25 ounce box white cake mix ((I used Duncan Hines)); ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter, cut into 20 slices.
