INGREDIENTS
1 cup uncooked orzo pasta
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 medium onion (chopped)
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 cup uncooked jasmine rice (thoroughly rinsed)
4 cloves garlic ( finely minced)
3 3/4 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 bay leaf
1 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 tsp EACH dried oregano, salt
1/4 tsp EACH dried thyme, pepper
1/8-1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 cup frozen peas, thawed
1/4 cup sliced almonds
