1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour(see suggestions)

1 tablespoon baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 egg, at room temperature
•
1 teaspoon vanilla
•
1 1/4 cups buttermilk, warmed
•
No buttermilk? Just add 4 teaspoons of lemon juice to a 2 cup measuring glass. Then fill with milk to 1 1/4 cup line. Let stand 5 minutes.
