1/2 Mexican cinnamon sticks (Ceylon cinnamon) ((Note 3))
1 Tablespoon whole black peppercorns
3 teaspoons dried Mexican oregano ((Note 4))
3 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
5-6 cups beef broth
3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
3 teaspoons kosher salt
Black pepper to taste
