3 cups (440 g) self-rising flour
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp freshly milled pepper
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 cup (100 g) grated Gouda cheese
1bottle(11.2 fl oz/330 ml) of Dutch beer
You will need: a 9 x 5 inch (22 x 13 cm) loaf pan; greaseproof paper; a wire cooking rack
