1 (8-count) package all beef, skinless hot dogs (Nathan's recommended)

1 (12-ounce) quality beer (I used a pale ale)
•
2 cups beef stock/broth
•
1 quarter wedge purple onion
•
1 teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning
•
1 teaspoon garlic powder
•
1 teaspoon light brown sugar
•
1 teaspoon caraway seed
•
1 (8-count) package hot dog buns
