Ingredients

2 1/2 lbs. ground chuck meat
2 8-oz. cans tomato sauce
3 onions, finely chopped
1 tsp. cayenne red pepper
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbs. allspice
1 Tbs. white vinegar
1 tsp. garlic salt
7 tsp. chili powder
1 qt. water
mozzarella cheese, shredded
salt to taste
pepper to taste
vegetable oil, enough for sauté

How to Make Beegee's Gold Star Chili

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large skillet, or kettle, sauté onion until transparent, add water and meat. Break meat into bits. Add all other ingredients. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer covered 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cheese before serving. This versatile chili can be eaten alone or served with your favorite hot dog. Freezes well.
