"Welcome to my series of recipes for Chinese food. The cuisine of the east, known for its strong flavors, has taken over the world and luckily, most of the items that we need are found in the local markets – and I am going to teach you all of its secrets. Still, if you make one of two trips a month to the nearest large supermarket, I have a tip that will help you greatly: start buying the sauces that you read about, even if the recipe won’t be done until a later time. Every time you go, pick an item from the Chinese aisle, just one. The items this time will be two and they are of my favorite Chinese cuisine ingredients: bamboo shoots and brown bean sauce. The former, are basically what you think, the shoots of the bamboo plant, which are edible and delicious; the latter is made with brown beans but is is very hard to do at home, so try to get a hold of a small bottle if you go the Eastern market. The rest is quite easy and the meal will be ready in no time. It is great for a moment in which Chinese night has no room to be complicated but you still want your family to try something new. Try this! Enjoy...."
