1 cup of white or yellow all purpose cornmeal
1/2 cup of self rising flour
3 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
2 teaspoons of granulated sugar, optional
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons of butter, melted
About 1 to 1-1/2 cups buttermilk, more or less
