Bangers & Mash

INGREDIENTS
4 pork sausages
½ large onion, cut into thin slices
⅓ cup water
⅔ cup chicken or beef stock
1 tsp flour
1 tsp butter (optional)
Olive oil (for cooking)
2-3 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
5-6 cups of water
Milk or cream, to preferred (this affects the consistency of your potatoes - I usually go with about ½-2/3 cup skim milk)
Butter, to taste (I usually use at least ⅓ of a stick)
Salt/pepper, to taste
