4 slices bacon, cut in 1-inch pieces

1 pound fresh asparagus, rinsed, dried and bottom halves peeled with a vegetable peeler; see video

3/4 cup ricotta cheese
•
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
•
1 large egg
•
Salt and pepper to taste

1 garlic clove, finely minced
•
1 cup crumbled blue cheese or gorgonzola cheese
