Crust:
• homemade or store-bought pastry dough
Filling:
•6-8 large apples (we use Granny Smith and Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, sliced horizontally
•3/4 cup brown sugar
•6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
•3 tablespoons apple cider
•1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
•1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
•1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
