1 cup of apple cider vinegar

1-1/2 cups of granulated sugar
•
1 teaspoon of celery seed
•
1 teaspoon of mustard seed

For the Slaw:
•
1 large head of cabbage, chopped or shredded fine
•
1 carrot, shredded
•
1 green or red bell pepper (or a combination), finely chopped
•
2 stalks (ribs) of celery, finely chopped
•
2 tablespoons of grated sweet onion
•
1 tablespoon of chopped pickled jalapeno, or to taste, optional
•
2 large sweet apples, peeled and cored
•
Salt and pepper, as needed to taste
