Ingredients: 1/2 cup walnuts (chopped); 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed); 1 tsp ground cinnamon; 2 tbsp butter (melted); 2 cups all-purpose flour; 1 cup sugar (granulated); 1 tsp salt; 8 tbsp butter (unsalted, cold right from the fridge and cut into 1 inch pieces); 2 tsp baking powder; 1/2 tsp baking soda; 3/4 cup applesauce **; 1 egg; 1 tsp vanilla extract; 1 cup apple (chopped (about 2 apples), I used Granny Smith apples); 1 cup icing sugar; 3 tbsp milk; 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
