These are great appetizers,everyone loves them. You can use sliced ham or omit the meats for your vegetarian guests. Use your favorite salsa,I use Herdez brand. I also like to use the fire roasted green chilies,they are not spicy,but have a good flavor.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces package cream cheese,softened
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 5 - green onions,minced
  • 4 ounces can green chilies,drained
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 2 tablespoons black olives,chopped
  • 12 - large flour tortillas
  • 8 ounces tomato salsa
  • - optional:12 slices deli sliced turkey or ham

How To Make tortilla pinwheels

  • Step 1
    Combine cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, chilies, cheddar cheese and olives; beat until smooth. Spread mixture on tortillas. Roll up each tortilla tightly. Wrap tortillas individually in damp paper towels. Put in ziplock bag; refrigerate until ready to serve. When ready to serve, remove tortillas from bags and paper toweling. Slice each rolled tortilla crosswise into 1-inch pieces . Place a toothpick in each pinwheel, and serve with a bowl of salsa on the side for dipping. Optional:If using turkey or ham,place on top of creamed mixture before rolling.
