My family and friends love this recipe and I get asked to make it often. Can substitute different ingredients but dont layer too many different ingredients or you will lose the flavor of some of them.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hamburger, cooked and crumbled, and cooled
  • 1 package taco seasoning,mild
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 ounces salsa, chunky
  • 6 ounces shredded lettuce
  • 6 ounces green peppers, cubed
  • 6 ounces tomatoes, cubed
  • 4 ounces green onions,diced small
  • 4 ounces black olives, cut up small
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 package tortilla chips

How To Make ten layer taco dip

  • Step 1
Cook hamburger, stirring to make it crumble, drain if too much grease. Add taco seasoning and 3/4 cup water and finish simmering like taco pkg says.Set aside and let cool,do not refrigerate. In a mixing bowl, stir together cream cheese and sour cream well. Layer on the bottom of a 9x9 casserole pan.
  • Step 2
Lay crumbled hamburger on top of cheese mixture, evenly. Spoon salsa on top of hamburger evenly,as much or as little as you like. Next, layer your lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, onions, and black olives. Top with the shredded cheddar cheese as little or as my family likes, overloaded with cheese.
  • Step 3
Use the tortilla chips to scoop up the layered dip and enjoy!!! Its fantastic!!And mostly good for you!
