Great appetizer with a nice twist

Ingredients

  • 1 cup jar kosher pickles
  • 1 cup jalapenos in jar sliced
  • 1/2 box tempura mix
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup remoulade sauce (recipe to follow)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

How To Make tempura pickles & jalapeños with remoulade sauce

  • Step 1
    mix tempura with water till thin mixture
  • Step 2
    towel dry, pickles and jalapeños
  • Step 3
    drop into tempura mixture let sit for a few minutes
  • Step 4
    heat the vegetable oil to med high, drop in until golden brown a few minutes on each side, drain and sprinkle with the paprika, serve hot
  • Step 5
    my remoulade= 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup ketchup, 6 splashes of tabasco sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper....mix well
