  • 1 c
    jar kosher pickles
  • 1 c
    jalapenos in jar sliced
  • 1/2 box
    tempura mix
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c
    remoulade sauce (recipe to follow)
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Tempura Pickles & Jalapeños with Remoulade Sauce


  1. mix tempura with water till thin mixture
  2. towel dry, pickles and jalapeños
  3. drop into tempura mixture let sit for a few minutes
  4. heat the vegetable oil to med high, drop in until golden brown a few minutes on each side, drain and sprinkle with the paprika, serve hot
  5. my remoulade= 1/2 cup mayo, 1/2 cup ketchup, 6 splashes of tabasco sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper....mix well
