A great refreshing dip or spread for sandwiches...it's especially good with home grown tomatoes. I love avocado in mine and sometimes add some cheese.

If preparing ahead - stir in the mayonnaise right before serving.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    torn lettuce
  • 1/2 c
    chopped ripe tomato - home grown is awesome in this dip
  • 1/2 lb
    thick bacon - cooked crisp and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    hellman"s mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp
    salad supreme seasoning - can be found in the spice aisle at most stores
  • assorted
    crackers or melba toast
  • sometimes
    i chop up 1/2 an avocado and add

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix mayonnaise and seasoning, set aside.

    In a medium bowl, toss together the tomato, lettuce and bacon - avocado too if using. Fold in the mayonnaise until everything is coated.
  2. Serve immediately with crackers. This is great spread on bread or toast as well.
