These are the best stuffed mushrooms that I have ever eaten. I found this recipe 40 something years ago when I was first married in the cookbook that came with my blender.

1/4 c
1 lb
4 slice
dry bread
1 small
2 Tbsp
1/4 tsp
kosher salt
1/4 tsp
marjoram, dried
1/4 tsp
thyme, dried
1/4 tsp
granulated garlic
1/4 c
dry white wine
lemon juice

How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms


  • 1De-stem mushrooms, quarter onion and cut up bread. Add all to food processor and pulse until fine.
  • 2Melt butter in skillet. Add mushroom mixture and saute 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, parsley, salt, marjoram, thyme, garlic and white wine, Mix well and saute 5 minutes over low heat.
  • 3Place mushroom caps in a 9" x 13" pan and sprinkle with salt. Fill caps with mushroom mixture.
  • 4Bake at 375-degrees for 10 minutes. Turn oven to broil and move to 4-5 inches from heat. Broil 5 minutes.
