Always a favorite at parties. The recipe came off the back of a Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix box. It is really pretty to serve in a hollowed out round loaf of bread. Even spinach-haters like this dip!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg
frozen spinach, thawed and drained well
  • 1 bunch
    green onions, chopped
  • 16 oz
    sour cream
  • 1 c
    hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg
    knorr vegetable soup mix
  • 1 can(s)
    water chestnuts, drained and chopped

How to Make Spinach Dip

Step-by-Step

  1. Thaw spinach and drain well. Literally squeeze as much water out of the spinach as possible; until it is almost dry.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together and chill overnight.
  3. Serve with crackers or Frito scoops.
  4. Variation: Instead of water chestnuts, peel and chop a green apple. Gives you the texture of the water chestnuts, but a tangy taste. Thanks, Rene, for this tip.
