Always a favorite at parties. The recipe came off the back of a Knorr Vegetable Soup Mix box. It is really pretty to serve in a hollowed out round loaf of bread. Even spinach-haters like this dip!

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen spinach, thawed and drained well
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup hellman's mayonnaise
  • 1 package knorr vegetable soup mix
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped

How To Make spinach dip

  • Step 1
    Thaw spinach and drain well. Literally squeeze as much water out of the spinach as possible; until it is almost dry.
  • Step 2
    Mix all the ingredients together and chill overnight.
  • Step 3
    Serve with crackers or Frito scoops.
  • Step 4
    Variation: Instead of water chestnuts, peel and chop a green apple. Gives you the texture of the water chestnuts, but a tangy taste. Thanks, Rene, for this tip.
