spinach bacon dip

Came up with this for a party this past year. It's bits of different recipes mixed together. My friends ate it up!!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sour cream
  • 1 package frozen spinach thawed
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise, hellmans is my choice
  • 1/2 medium onion chopped fine
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package real bacon pieces, i use oscar meyer
  • 1 teaspoon garlic chopped fine
  • 2 tablespoons roasted red pepper chopped fine
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make spinach bacon dip

  • Step 1
    Squeeze all the liquid out of the spinach, press with paper towels to make sure all liquid is out.
  • Step 2
    In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients but the spinach and bacon until blended. Stir in the spinach and bacon. Transfer to bowl with lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving. Serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
