I adapted it from an recipe that I got from somewhere years ago.

Add to Grocery List

3 Tbsp
olive oil
leeks, diced (depending on how much you like leeks - their flavor can be strong)
vidalia onion, diced
1/2 c
shallot, diced (1 or 2 shallot, depending on size)
2 Tbsp
garlic, minced (6 or 7 cloves depending on size)
green onions, sliced
2 tsp
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tbsp
2 Tbsp
chives, chopped

How to Make Six Onion Pate


  • 1Saute onion, leeks, garlic, shallots, green onion and thyme in olive oil until soft and transluscent.
  • 2Cool completely then place in food processor along with the mayonnaise and chives. Process until desired smoothness.
  • 3Chill about an hour so flavors blend, then serve cold (or if you prefer, allow to come back to room temp) with crackers or pita or bagel chips.
