I love these tasty little things. A lady at our church used to make them so I got the recipe from her many years ago and I am still making them today. Great as a snack or game time food.

  • 1 lb
  • 16 oz
    sauerkraut, drained very well
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese softened
  • 2 c
    bread crumbs
  • 2

How to Make Sauerkraut Balls


  1. Cook sausage until browned, drain.
  2. Mix sauerkraut and cream cheese into the sausage. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
  3. Slightly beat eggs and place in a bowl.
  4. Put breadcrumbs into another bowl
  5. Roll sausage mixture into 1 inch balls.
  6. Put the balls into the eggs and then into the breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry in deepfryer until golden brown (about 3min)
