sanosas (deep fried pastry stuffed with spicy potatoes)
(2 RATINGS)
Although this recipe can take some time to make it is well worth the time. My husband & I just love this recipe. It can be a bit spicy for some people. You can always cut down on the spices.

How To Make sanosas (deep fried pastry stuffed with spicy potatoes)
-
Step 1In medium bowl mix flour, salt & oil until it resembles fine bread crumbs. Pour in water to make a smooth dough. Pat into a ball. Place on lightly floured surface and knead for 10 minutes. Return to bowl; cover & set aside. Boil potatoes until soft; remove and let cool; peel skin and dice into small pieces.
-
Step 2Add all spices, chili peppers, cilantro and onions. Mix throughly. Divide dough into 15 equal portions; roll into balls. Roll out into 6 inch circles. Cut each in half and form into cones. Fill cones with equal portions of potato mix, seal. Heat oil in a large deep skillet. Place cones into oil a few at a time. Fry until golden brown; drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
