I promise you that you will love these; I can't get enough of them. A friend of mine made this at one of our get togethers, and now it is the way to make green beans for me. Not very diet friendly but every once and awhile you have to just splurge. Everyone thought they were fresh out of the garden... I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THEM

Ingredients

  • 2 cans 14.5 oz cut up green beans
  • 1/2 cup cashew halves & pieces
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced onion
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (or other oil )

How To Make perked up green beans

  • Step 1
Heat oil in skillet, add cashews and onions and saute until onion becomes transparent and cashews begin to get slighty browned. Drain beans leaving a small amount of liquid. Add to skillet and continue to cook until beans are thoroughly warmed and liquid is cooked down. NOTE: Adjust the amount of cashews & onions to suit your taste. Almonds may also be used. A few bacon bits make this even more perkier.
