Perked up Green Beans
A friend of mine made this at one of our get togethers, and now it is the way to make green beans for me. Not very diet friendly but every once and awhile you have to just splurge.
Everyone thought they were fresh out of the garden... I PROMISE YOU WILL LOVE THEM
- 2 can(s)
- 14.5 oz cut up green beans
- 1/2 c
- cashew halves & pieces
- 1/2 c
- thinly sliced onion
- 1 Tbsp
- olive oil (or other oil )
How to Make Perked up Green Beans
- 1Heat oil in skillet, add cashews and onions and saute until onion becomes transparent and cashews begin to get slighty browned. Drain beans leaving a small amount of liquid. Add to skillet and continue to cook until beans are thoroughly warmed and liquid is cooked down.
NOTE: Adjust the amount of cashews & onions to suit your taste. Almonds may also be used. A few bacon bits make this even more perkier.
