This is a very good recipe given to me by my sister-in-law. I make it every summer when we have extra okra.

Makes 4 - 5 pints
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 pounds small okra pods (not more than 3-4
- 1//3 cup salt
- 5 - small hot peppers
- 2 teaspoons dill seeds
- 5 - garlic bud
- 1 quart water
- 1 pint apple cider vinegar
How To Make okra pickles

Step 1Pack raw Okra firmly into hot jars, leaving a 1/4" headspace. Put garlic bud and a hot pepper into each jar of okra. Mix salt, water, vinegar and dill seed into a pot and bring to a boil. Pour hot mixture into jars over okra. Adjust caps. Process 15 minutes in boiling water. Start timing when they start boiling. Yields 4-5 pints.
