Ingredients

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • ·
    flour
  • ·
    margarine, softened
  • 1/2 lb
    mushrooms, minced
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1
    onion, chopped

How to Make Mini Turnovers Appetizers, Grandma W

Step-by-Step

  1. Beat cream cheese, 1 1/2 c flour, and 1/2 c margarine until smooth. Shape into ball, cover and refrigerate 1 hour. In 10 inch skillet on med heat, take 3 T margarine and cook mushrooms and onion to tender. Stir in sour cream, salt, thyme and 2 T flour. Set aside. Roll half the dough to 1/8 inch thick on floured surface. With 2 3/4 inch round cookie cutter cut as many circles as possible. Repeat with all dough.
  2. Oven to 450 degrees. On one half of each dough circle, put a teaspoon of mushroom mixture. Brush edges with egg, fold over filling and press edges with a fork to seal. Prick tops. Put onto ungreased cookie sheets, brush with egg. Bake 12-14 min to golden.
