  • 1 large carrots
  • 1/2 english cucumber
  • 1 large celery rib
  • 1 large red pepper

How To Make julienne cut • chef knife skills

  • Step 1
    Peel carrot and cucumber; set aside.
  • Step 2
    Cut all vegetables to about 2 1/2 to 3-inch long.
  • Step 3
    Square carrot and cucumber by cutting one side to make it flat. Put the flat side down on the cutting board and cut another side; repeat until all sides are flat.
  • Step 4
    Slice them into 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch thick. Stalk the slices and cut them into strips that resemble matchsticks. Repeat with celery and pepper.
