jalapeno popper dip - my way

I received this recipe many years ago from a "friend of a friend." I know there are other versions of this recipe already on JAP, but I still wanted to share my recipe with you. It is always well received and requested often. Please enjoy with tortilla chips, Fritos corn chips, crackers, or a spoon....it is that good! :)

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (8 oz. each) cream cheese - softened
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chilies
  • 2-3 ounces jarred jalapeno slices, chopped (or more, to taste)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, or other cheese you may have on hand (parmesan cheese works well also)
  • NOTE: YOU MAY MICROWAVE DIP ON HIGH FOR 3-5 MINUTES OR UNTIL HOT AND MELTED (IF YOU ARE IN A RUSH)

How To Make jalapeno popper dip - my way

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl.
  • Step 2
    Stir in green chilies, and jalapeno peppers. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Pour mixture into a shallow baking dish or pie pan, and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.

    Step 4
    Bake in oven for about 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Enjoy!! :)
