Ingredients
- 4 medium green tomatoes
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1 large egg beaten with 1/2 cup water
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon bacon drippings
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
How To Make fried green tomatoes

Step 1Wash and slice tomatoes to 1/4 inch thinkness.

Step 2Fill ziplock bag with flour and cornmeal.

Step 3Mix the beaten egg with 1/2 cup cold water.

Step 4Heat bacon drippings with oil to a frying temp

Step 5Dip several slices of tomatoe into egg mixture then into the flour mixture to coat. Add your salt and pepper and fry until tomatoes are tender and breading is a golden brown
