How to Make Fried Green Tomatoes
- Wash and slice tomatoes to 1/4 inch thinkness.
- Fill ziplock bag with flour and cornmeal.
- Mix the beaten egg with 1/2 cup cold water.
- Heat bacon drippings with oil to a frying temp
- Dip several slices of tomatoe into egg mixture then into the flour mixture to coat. Add your salt and pepper and fry until tomatoes are tender and breading is a golden brown
