    yellow or white onion
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    beef bullion cube
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 box
    athens phyllo shells
  • ·
    salt & pepper
  • ·
    guyere cheese grated

How to Make French Onion Soup Bites

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven 350
  2. Melt butter in large pan over medium heat.Add slices onions,bay leaf and thyme.Carmelize onion about 10 min.Dissolve boullion cube in 1/2 C.water and add to pan to deglaze.Remove bay leaf.Fill each cup with mixture and bake in oven for 10-12 min.Sprinkle each cup with grated cheese and broil just until melted.Or you can just put it back into the hot oven.
