- 2 egg whites
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 1/2 cups cornflake crumbs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large yellow onion, cut into 1/4 inch rings
How To Make crispy baked onion rings

Step 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.

Step 2Whisk together the egg whites and water in a shallow dish. Place the crumbs and salt in another shallow dish or plate.

Step 3Dip the onion rings into the egg mixture; then into the crumb mixture. Arrange the onion rings on the baking sheet and lightly spray them with cooking spray.

Step 4Place baking sheet on the oven rack in the second slot on the bottom half of the oven. Bake until tender and the coating is crisp. Baking time is approximately 25 minutes.
