This recipe is from a good friend of the family. They are a little time consuming, but well worth it!!

    cream cheese
  • 1 pkg
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb
    hot or mild sausage
  • 2 can(s)
    plain bread crumbs

    eggs beaten

How to Make Connie's Kraut Balls


  1. Crumble, brown, and drain sausage
  2. Squeeze excess water from saurkraut with a cheesecloth
  3. soften cream cheese
  4. Mix together sausage, kraut, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and 1/2 c of bread crumbs. Chill until firm and roll into balls.
  5. Dip balls into flour, then egg, and last the bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
