This recipe is from a good friend of the family. They are a little time consuming, but well worth it!!

Ingredients

  • 2 cans saurkraut
  • 16 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 package shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pound hot or mild sausage
  • 2 cans plain bread crumbs
  • 2 - eggs beaten
  • - flour
  • - oil

How To Make connie's kraut balls

  • Step 1
    Crumble, brown, and drain sausage
  • Step 2
    Squeeze excess water from saurkraut with a cheesecloth
  • Step 3
    soften cream cheese
  • Step 4
    Mix together sausage, kraut, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and 1/2 c of bread crumbs. Chill until firm and roll into balls.
  • Step 5
    Dip balls into flour, then egg, and last the bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
