saurkraut
16 oz
cream cheese
1 pkg
shredded cheddar cheese
1 lb
hot or mild sausage
2 can(s)
plain bread crumbs

eggs beaten
flour

How to Make Connie's Kraut Balls

Step-by-Step

  • 1Crumble, brown, and drain sausage
  • 2Squeeze excess water from saurkraut with a cheesecloth
  • 3soften cream cheese
  • 4Mix together sausage, kraut, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and 1/2 c of bread crumbs. Chill until firm and roll into balls.
  • 5Dip balls into flour, then egg, and last the bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
