Mom made appetizers every time they went to dinners, or had people over for dinners. This was one, and everyone liked it.

Stove Top


  • 6 oz
    mushroom crowns, canned
  • 1/4 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp

How to Make Chinese Spiced Mushrooms, Mom's


  1. Broil mushrooms. Drain, reserve sauce to use for soup, sauce or gravy. Combine remaining ingredients in small saucepan. Place over med heat and bring to a boil. Pour over mushrooms, cover and refrigerate overnight. Drain, serve with toothpicks.
