This is a easy spread and it is a hit with men and women. It makes quite a bit, but stays well in the refrigerator. I have it mostly in the summer as it is a cool type appetizer. I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg
    6 oz cream chese
  • 1 medium
    cucumber , peeled
  • 1 medium
    onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt or more to taste
  • dash dash(es)
    tabaso sauce
  • 2 dash(es)
    green food coloring
  • ·
    mayonnaise

How to Make Benedictine Spread

Step-by-Step

  1. In blender or food processor, grate onion.
  2. Squeeze excess juice from cucumber, using paper towel and add to onion and process again.
    Add cream cheese, salt, Tabasco and food coloring and blend until smooth.
  3. Add just enought mayonnaise to make a smooth filling easily spread. Serve on bread or melba toast rouonds, open face. Is especially good topped with crisp fried bacon
