- 2 cups bitter ale
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons cornsarch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 - large portabella mushrooms cut into 1/2 in slices

Step 1Heat oil in a deep fryer or large saucepan 375 degree

Step 2Whisk ale,flour,sesame,seeds,cornstarch,and baking powder in a large bowl. Batter will be slightly thick and lumpy

Step 3Dip 7-8 strips of the mushrooms at a time into the batter shaking off excess . Fry mushrooms in batches in oil 5-6 min
