Ingredients

3 lb
asparagus trimmed (thin to medium)
1 c
mayonnaise
4 tsp
soy sauce
1 1/2 tsp
sugar
2 tsp
fresh lemon juice
2 tsp
wasabi paste

How to Make Asparagus with Wasabi-Mayonnaise Dip

Step-by-Step

  • 1Blanch asparagus in 2 batches in a large saucepan of boiling salted water 1 minute.
  • 2Transfer to a colander and rinse under cold running water to stop cooking.
  • 3Drain well and pat dry.
  • 4Whisk together mayonnaise, soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice, and wasabi paste until sugar is dissolved.
  • 5Serve asparagus with dip.
  • 6Note:
    Asparagus and dip may be prepared 1 day ahead and chilled, covered.
