Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies! This is a version of a recipe I saw in a cookbook a few years back, put my own spin on it, and it is very good.

1 lb
asparagus trimmed and cut in bite size pieces
1 small
onion halved and sliced thin
4 Tbsp
butter or margarine softened
3 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 can(s)
crescent rolls
2 c
shredded swiss cheese
salt and pepper
1 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin

How to Make Asparagus Pizza


  • 1Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2In a large skillet, put in the olive oil to coat pan, add asparagus and onion to heated skillet. Salt and pepper to taste. Saute just until tender. Let cool.
  • 3Spray a 11x8 jellyroll pan with cooking spray, unroll the crescent rolls and pat down to the edges of the pan for a crust. Spread the softened butter over the crust. Sprinkle the garlic powder evenly over the butter.
  • 4Evenly put the asparagus and onion on the prepared crust. Cover with the shredded swiss cheese. Bake in preheated oven 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Cut in squares, best eaten warm. Great appetizer or light lunch.
