Asparagus is one of my favorite veggies! This is a version of a recipe I saw in a cookbook a few years back, put my own spin on it, and it is very good.

Ingredients
- 1 pound asparagus trimmed and cut in bite size pieces
- 1 small onion halved and sliced thin
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine softened
- 3 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 can crescent rolls
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese
- - salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
How To Make asparagus pizza

Step 1Preheat oven to 350.

Step 2In a large skillet, put in the olive oil to coat pan, add asparagus and onion to heated skillet. Salt and pepper to taste. Saute just until tender. Let cool.

Step 3Spray a 11x8 jellyroll pan with cooking spray, unroll the crescent rolls and pat down to the edges of the pan for a crust. Spread the softened butter over the crust. Sprinkle the garlic powder evenly over the butter.

Step 4Evenly put the asparagus and onion on the prepared crust. Cover with the shredded swiss cheese. Bake in preheated oven 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly. Cut in squares, best eaten warm. Great appetizer or light lunch.
